fears & secrets
Fear: He's afraid of his father dying, or disappointing his father. He hated when his mother died, it still eats him up inside. He's just incredibly good at masking it, hiding it and pretending like it doesn't exist. But it does frighten him greatly whenever his father gets a call. Also one of the reasons he's so into police work, he knows when and where to find his father should the situation ever call for it. He's a bit OCD in that aspect, he feels partly responsible for his mother's passing even though he knows there was nothing he could do for her, the pain of the situation never goes away. And now with losing his best friend, someone who he assumes is dead as no one ever told him what happened that night, its a lot on his plate. Having people he care about hurt is both frustrating and frightening to him.
Secret: So, Eliot was held back in...first grade of all places. This was around the same time he was diagnosed with severe ADHD. However, he doesn't have trouble focusing on something that interests him, its just...school is so boring to him. If there was a subject that he finds incredibly interesting that's a totally different story, he's alert focused and in control. Yet, because the school he was currently attending felt he hadn't learned basic things (which he had, he just had trouble motivating himself to care) and held him back. This was when he moved and first met Emilia. Its still one of his most treasured secrets, something he's incredibly embarrassed about, no one knows he's actually nineteen outside of the school staff of course.

personality
Funny, sarcastic, dorky, nerdy, a huge doofus and awkward. Eliot's got a sweet heart and a kind personality. He's anything but laid back though, having severe ADHD and refusing to take his medicine to calm himself down - it makes him feel like a zombie and he'd rather not be mistaken for one of the undead, not that he knows anything about what the undead are truly like - he has to get up and go do twenty million things at once. He finds it a constant challenge to find something to stimulate his mind long enough to stay focused. At least when its focused around school and the boring sleep inducing texts that he's forced to read when in class. When he finds something he does find enjoyable, such as games, videos, movies or otherwise then he becomes a tad bit obsessive. Overall he's a huge nerd and isn't afraid to express his nerdiness, at least when around friends and a trusting circle. He's not shy by any stretch of the word, and isn't afraid to speak his mind. He simply acts like an ignoramus at times because it will often get him out of trouble.
He's not a bad kid, he just truly needs things to stimulate his mind - at nearly all times. Thus there may be times where he does things that may or may not be against the law, but since his father's a cop he's usually bailed out with nothing more than a slap on the wrist. Usually anyway, there are times where he's had to sit through court dates. The look of disappointment on his father's face is usually enough to break his heart. He hates seeing his father disappointed in him, he feels like a failure as a son. Overall Eliot's amazingly sweet and caring and is always worried about other people first. He's not really a party animal, at least not in the typical traditional sense of the word but he has his own fun. He doesn't need alcohol to have a good time he's found, and he knows that makes his dad happy. Overall he truly just wants to please his father, but he knows his father can see through his rouses, especially when he's lying - he's not so good at the lying part, being as he's such an open book he can't particularly hide his feelings well. He's also a bit of a wuss when it comes to feelings, he's cried more than a few times...more times than he'd care to admit. When it comes to fighting anything outside of his computer screen or television he's a bit of a lost cause. He's more lover than fighter and would just as soon pass out hugs over fists. Overall though he's relatively oblivious on how to be a normal teenage boy, girls seem to be outside his radar - for now - and social interactions, while he can do them fine and well, can at times grow very awkward very quickly.

behind the mask
Well. He's human, so no supernatural abilities here. He's highly intelligent though, but not supercomputer smart. As for the knowledge of the existence of supernatural creatures, he's not quite there yet.
Since he is untouched by the very bizarre, often times creepy world of the supernatural, Eliot is considered light. He has a good heart and a good head on his shoulders, whether he uses the latter is up for debate but overall, he tries to do what's best in the world. Even if he has a limited understanding of it.

history
- Born in Washington to Summer and Christopher Fitzgerald.
- Was an only child, and growing up in Washington wasn't as suitable a home as his parents had hoped.
- In first grade after flunking it - Eliot was diagnosed with ADHD, and held back a year.
- His parents decided to pack up and move to Oregon, his mother got a teaching position there and his father was currently unemployed.
- He first meets Emilia around second grade and its instantly best friends without question. They proceed to do just about everything together, Eliot loves that she laughs at all of his jokes and still wants to be his friend despite his troubles fitting into a new school.
- Eliot's mother passed away a few years later after a long battle with cancer, the news devastates him inside but he prevails with the help of his best friend by his side.
- During the start of high school, when Em and himself were both starting freshman year Eliot became more of a recluse recently, becoming unhealthily obsessed with video games to try to drown his thoughts from his mother who haunted him. She may have been dead for a few years but a close call with his father - now a certified police officer - had brought all of the feelings back and he had to withdraw from the rest of the world.
- Em continues to try to drag him to all sorts of social events trying to return that friendly life loving kid she'd known all those years prior, she convinces him to see one of the more recent science fiction movies that came out - she always did know his weaknesses.
- Later that night they were both attacked - Eliot couldn't see what. He had to get Em help first and foremost, called his dad, managed to get her to the ER.
- Few weeks later when she was finally released he made sure to stay with her that night - only to be attacked. He hit head relatively terribly on either the floor, or the nightstand...the night is all a blur to him and all he knew was that when he woke up, he himself was in the ER the next day.
- He nearly became catatonic during that year, having lost his one and only friend his father wasn't positive what to do with him.
- His dad got a job offering out in Virginia, similar occurrences happening there they needed some fresh stock, offered him a higher pay grade and everything.
- Whether Eliot was bothered by the move or not was unknown, he seemed to be shut off from the world in general. The move helped get his mind off that town and all of the ghosts that seemed to linger there.
- Starting fresh and new in Virginia was difficult, but he managed the summer.
- Now with the new school year starting, he has a way to redefine himself. Although as a junior with the rumor mill flying, he may just give up and stick to what he knows he's good at - gaming and staying by himself. Not to say he wants to, he does enjoy company - but making friends...especially new friends, is difficult.
